The hotel has a rich history of gala events-including inaugural balls and political press conferences-that have come to life in 11 traditionally appointed rooms overlooking Embassy Row. The Ballroom in The Fairfax at Embassy Row is 2,600-square-feet and evokes the grandeur and tradition of days gone by with four magnificent chandeliers and soaring 19-foot ceilings. In addition to the Balcony Room, which overlooks the Ballroom and provides a dramatic setting for cocktail receptions or more intimate dinners, there are five additional rooms that prove ideal for conferences and meetings in Washington, D.C. Fine wood paneling is found in each space, adding richness and warmth to each event.

Up to 250 guests are comfortably accommodated in the The Ballroom (2,600 square feet) at the Fairfax at Embassy Row, a grand location for your Washington, D.C. wedding. Our hotel strives to reach beyond all expectations. Guests of The Ballroom are invited to watch the wedding ceremony from the Balcony Room, which overlooks the larger space and is also a lovely perch for a cocktail reception. Once the main reception begins, a separate entrance into a gleaming marble foyer leads to spacious and elegantly appointed space that includes a large dance floor and customized table settings.
